Apple Inc., Progressive Corp., Urban Outfitters Inc. and SLM Corp. advanced after analysts either raised price targets or lifted their ratings on the shares. Benchmark indexes retreated from their highs of the day after an explosion sank a South Korean navy ship near a disputed border with North Korea.
